Himedi didn’t start as a company. It started as a shared experience and a promise to make things better.
William, a Korean American from Los Angeles, got his first full-body checkup in Korea after the pandemic. It was basic, but clean, fast, respectful, and thorough. Compared to the delays and high costs back home, it felt like healthcare done right.
Donkyo grew up in Korea and moved to the U.S. for business school. One of the first things he was told? “Don’t go to the doctor here; just wait until you’re back in Korea.” For two years, he avoided hospitals entirely. It wasn’t by choice. It was because he didn’t know where to go or who to trust.
When they met in 2024, they realized they’d both lived the same frustration from different sides. William started spreading the word in New York with nothing but a one-page flyer. Donkyo was in Seoul, helping people book hospitals and feel supported every step of the way.
Himedi grew from there, not as a business idea, but as something personal. A way to help others feel cared for, just like we wish we had been.

Himedi does NOT charge a fee to our customers, there is no additional payment required for you to inquire and communicate with us.

Hospitals and health screening centers in South Korea offer comprehensive health check-up programs. With over 30 screens, examinations use advanced medical equipment to detect any anomalies in your body.
Regular medical check-ups should be part of your personal care routine, ideally conducted once a year. This is especially important for men over 40 and women over 30.
These 3 to 4 hour tests can identify harmful symptoms early and ensure accurate diagnoses. The check-ups can also alert you to potential diseases or health issues and indicate if you have imbalances in your biometrics that can be corrected through diet and healthy habits.
At Himedi, we strive to provide exceptional service and flexibility to accommodate your needs. We understand that plans may change, and we have established the following refund policy to ensure a fair and transparent process:
- Full Refund: We offer a full refund for any cancellations made at least 7 days before your scheduled exam date. Please notify us in advance to qualify for this refund.
- Partial Refund: If you need to cancel within 7 days of your exam date, you will be eligible for a partial refund of 50% of your payment.
- No Refunds for No Shows: Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for missed appointments without prior cancellation.
- Exam Date Changes: We do not charge any fees for changing your exam date as long as the new date is within 12 months from the initial scheduled exam. Please contact us to reschedule.
